File Menu

 

New :

To Create A New Photoshop Document.

Steps: File – New  - Select The Page Size – Select The Resolution – Ok.

 

Open :

To Open An Existing File. 

Steps: File – Open  - Select the File – Open.

 

Browse:

To View As In Thumbnail And Open In Photoshop.

Steps: File – Browse.

 

Open As:

To Open An Image As Pre-Defined Image Types For Working Purpose.

Steps: File – Open As  - Select the File – Open.

 

Open Recent :

To Open Most Recent Documents.

Steps: File – Open  Recent- Select the File.

 

Edit In Image Ready:

To Transfer The Document In Image Ready.

Steps: File – Edit In Image Ready.

 

Close :

To Close The Current Document.

Steps: File – Close.

 

Close All:

To Close All Open Documents.

Steps: File – Close All.

 

Close And Go To Bridge:

To Close The Document Send It Bridge Application For Internet Purpose.

Steps: File – Close and Go To Bridge.

 

Save :

To Save Or Modify The Document.

Steps: File – Save.

 

Save As :

To Make Save A New Document With Another Name Or Another Location.

Steps: File – Save As - Write the File Name – Save.

 

Save a Version:

To Save The Version Name Of The Image.

 

Save For Web:

To Save The File For Internet Uses Especially For The Websites.

Steps: File – Save for Web - Select the File Type – Save.

 

Revert:

To Go Last Saved  Position The Current Document.

Steps: File – Revert.

 

Place:

To Bring Another File As Doc File Or Image File From A Folder.

Steps: File – Place  - Select the File – Open.

 

Import:

To Import The Image From The Other Sources Like Camera Or Scanner.

Steps: File – Import – WIA Support – Select the Source – (Follow the Steps).

 

Export:

To Export The Image To Another Software.

Steps: File – Export  - Select the File Type – Save.

 

 

Automate:

To Do Some Job Automatically. Just Like Below:

 

      Contract Sheet: To Arrange The Photos From A Folder To The Pages In Rows And

                  Columns As  You Specified.

 

                                   

 

File Info:

To Show The File Information.

Steps: File – Open  - Select the File – Open.

 

Page Setup:

To Set The Page For Printing Purpose.

Steps: File – Page Setup – Select the Page Dimension – Ok.

 

Print With Preview:

To Get The Preview Before The Printing.

Steps: File – Print with Preview – Close.

 

Print:

To Make The Print Outs On Page.

Steps: File – Print  - Select the Options – Set the Number of Copies - Print.


Jump To:

To Go To The Image Ready Software.

Steps: File – Jump To  - Image Ready.

 

Exit:

To Close Photoshop.

Steps: File – Exit.

 

 

Edit Menu

 

Undo:

One Step Backward

Steps: Edit - Undo.

 

Step Forward:

To Go To One Step Forward.

Steps: Edit - Forward.

 

Step Backward:

To Come Back One Step Backward.

Steps: Edit – Step Backward.

 

Cut:

To Cut And Transfer The Object At Desired Position.

Steps: Select the Object – Edit – Cut – Edit - Paste.

 

Copy:

To Make A Duplicate Of The Same As Previous Of The Text Or Object.

Steps: Select the Object – Edit – Copy– Edit - Paste.

 

Copy Merged:

To Copy Multiple Objects Based On Different Layers.

Steps: Select the Object – Edit – Copy Merge – Edit - Paste.

 

Paste:

After Cut Or Copy Paste The Text Or Object At Desired Position.

Steps:– Edit - Paste.

 

Paste Into:

Paste With Masking Features.

Steps: Edit – Paste Into.

 

Clear:

To Delete The Selected Item.

Steps: Select the Object – Edit – Clear.

 

Check Spelling:

To Check The Spelling Of Written Texts.

Steps: Select the Text– Edit – Check Spelling.

 

Find And Replace Text:

To Find And Replace The Word With Another Word.

Steps: Select the Text– Edit – Find or Replace – Write The Word To Be Searched – Write The New Word – Find / Replace/ Replace All.

 

Fill :

To Fill Up The Page With Colors, Gradients Or Patterns.

Steps: Edit – Fill – Select The Pattern – Ok.

 

 

Stroke:

To Give Outline Stroke Over The Image.

Steps: Edit – Stroke –  Select the Pixel size and color - Ok.

 

 

Free Transform:

To Change The Dimension And Position With Rotation.

Steps: Edit – Free Transform – now drag the border line.

 

 

Transform:

To change the dimension, position option wise.

Steps: Edit – Transform – Select any option.

 

 

Define Brush Preset:

To Make A New Brush For Future Use In Photoshop.

Steps: Select small area - Edit – Define Brush Preset - Ok

 

Define Pattern:

To Make A New Pattern For Future Use In Photoshop.

Steps: Select an Area - Edit – Define Pattern - Ok

 

Define Custom Shape:

To Make A New Custom Shape For Future Use.

Steps: Select an area - Edit – Define Custom Shape – Ok.

 

Color Setting:

To Make Some Color Setting For Photos

Steps: Edit – Color Settings – select the option - Ok

 

Keyboard Shortcuts:

To Show Or Set The Keyboard Shortcuts.

Steps: Edit – Keyboard Shortcuts.

 

Preset Manager:

To Adjust Photoshop Options With Some Predefined Settings.

Steps: Edit – Preset Manager.

 

Preference:

To Set The Preference Options For The Pictures.

Steps: Edit – Preference.

 

Image Menu

 

Mode:

To Change The Image Modes.

Step: Image – Mode – Select Any Mode.

 

 

            Bitmap:

            To Change The Image Into Bitmap Mode To Make 50% Threshold Image.

            Step: Image – Mode – Bitmap – Select 50% threshold - Ok

           

Grayscale:

To Change The Image Into Grayscale Image Mode.

Step: Image – Mode – Grayscale

           

Duotone:

To Change The Image Into Single Color, Dual Color, Tricolor Or Quad Color Mode.

Step: Image – Mode – Duotone – Select the Tone – Ok.

 

            Indexed Color:

            To Change The Image Into Indexed Mode For Special Purpose Printers.

    Step: Image – Mode – Indexed Color.

 

            RGB Color:

            To Change The Image Into Basic Tricolor Mode In Red, Green And Blue Mode.

    Step: Image – Mode – RGB Color.

 

            CMYK Color:

            To Change The Image Into Basic Quad Color Mode In Cyne, Magenta, Yellow And

Black Mode for Offset Printers..

Step: Image – Mode – CMYK Color.

 

            Lab Color:

            To Change The Image Into Tricolor Mode For Maps Printing And Scientific Works.

    Step: Image – Mode – Lab Color.

 

Adjustments:

To Make Some Adjustment On Pictures.

Step: Image – Adjustments – Select any option.

 

            Level:

            To Change The Color Levels In The Image.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Level – Drag the Slider to desired position.

 

            Auto Levels:

            To Adjust The Color Level Automatically In The Image.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Auto Levels.

 

Auto Contrast:

            To Adjust The Color Contrast Automatically In The Image.

Step: Image – Adjustments – Auto Contrast.

 

            Auto Color:

            To Adjust The Color Combination Automatically In The Image.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Auto Color.

 

            Curves:

            To  Adjust The Brightness Or Light As You Need.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Curves – Drag the sliders and line to adjust light.

 

            Color Balance:

            To Adjust The Color Balance As You Need In The Image.

Step: Image – Adjustments – Color Balance – Move the Slider to get the color.

 

            Brightness/Contrast:

            To Adjust The Color Brightness And Contrast According To The Picture.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Brightness / Contrast - Move the Slider to get the color.

 

            Hue/Saturation:

            To Adjust The Hue / Saturation According To The Need Of The Picture.   

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Hue / Saturation - Move the Slider to get the color.

 

            Desaturate:

            To Discard The Color Information And Make It Grayscale.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Desaturate.

 

            Match color:

            To Adjust The Matched Colors Only.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Match Color – Click on the color of the picture – Move the

Sliders to get the desired colors.

 

            Replace Color:

            To Replace The Color With Another New Color.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Replace Color – Click on the color and Adjust the sliders to

            get the desired color.

 

           

Selective Color:

            To Adjust The Selected Colors Only.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Select the Color  - Adjust the sliders to get the desired

            color.

 

            Channel Mixer:

            To Adjust The Colors In Selected Area Of Colors.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Channel Mixer  - Adjust the sliders to get the desired

            color.

 

            Gradient Map:

            To Apply The Gradient In The Image Colors.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Gradient Map – Select the Gradient to get the desired

            color.

 

            Photo Filter:

            To Adjust The Image Colors According To The Preset Colors In Photoshop.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Photo Filter  - Select the Color to get the desired

            color.

 

            Shadow/Highlight:

            To Adjust The Shadow Or Highlight According To The Image.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Shadow /Highlight  - Adjust the sliders to get the desired 

            color.

 

            Exposure:

            To Adjust The Light And Brightness.

    Step: Image – Adjustments – Exposure  - Adjust the sliders to get the desired 

            color.

 

 

            Invert:

            To Change The Color In Opposite Mode.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Invert

 

            Equalize:

            To Equalize The Photo Colors For Editing Purpose.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Equalize 

 

           

Threshold:

            To Adjust The Pictures With Dots For Trussing Papers.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Threshold – Adjust the Percentage - Ok.

 

    Posterize:

            To adjust the picture with  different levels of the colors.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Posterize  - write the levels Number -Ok

 

            Variations:

            To Adjust The Image With Different Types Of Variations Of The Pictures.

            Step: Image – Adjustments – Variations  -  Select the Most Suitable Instance – Ok.

 

           

Duplicate:

To Make A Duplicate Image Of The Same Image.

Step: Image – Duplicate.

 

Apply Image:

To Mix Two Or Three Images Into One Image.

Step: Open two images - Image – Apply image – Select the Source Image – Select the destination Image – Apply  .

 

Image Size:

To Show Or Adjust The Image Size And Resolution.

Step: Image – Image Size – change the size, the height and width / resolution - Ok.

 

 

Canvas Size:

To Adjust The Canvas Size According To The Need.

Step: Image – Canvas Size – Change the height and width  - Ok.

 Pixel Aspect Ratio:

To Adjust The Canvas And Image According To The Preset Option.

Step: Image – Pixel Aspect Ratio – Select the most suitable ratio.

 

Rotate Canvas:

To Move Or Adjust The Canvas According To The Need.

Step: Image – Rotate Canvas – Select the option.

 

Crop:

To Cut And Adjust The Image With Resolution.

Step: Select the portion - Image – Crop..

 

 

 

Layer Menu

 

New:

To Get A New Layer.

Steps: Layer – New – Layer.

 

Duplicate Layer:

To Make A Duplicate Layers.

Steps: Layer – Duplicate Layer.

 

 

Delete:

To Delete The Layer.

Steps: Layer – Delete Layer.

 

 

Layer Properties:

To Get The Layer Properties Values.

Steps: Layer – Layer Properties.

 

 

Layer Style:

To Apply Some Layer Style Over The Image And Object.

Steps: Layer – Layer Style.

 

 

New Fill Layer:

To Get And Fill The Layer With A Color.

New Adjustment Layer:

To Make And Adjust The Image With Layers As Masking.

Layer Mask:

To Apply Some Layer Mask To Delete Or Adjust A Picture With Another Picture.

Steps: Layer – Layer Mask – Hide all / Reveal All

 

 

Vector Mask:

To Apply Some Layer Mask Over The Vector Images.

Steps: Layer – Vector Mask – Hide all / Reveal All

 

 

Type:

To Adjust Or Change Text Shape.

Steps: Layer – Type – Warp Text.

 

Rasterize:

To Change An Image From Vector To Raster Image For Easy Editing.

Steps: Layer – Rasterize.

 

Group Layers:

To Group The Layer For Easy Editing And Moving The Objects.

Steps: Select the Layers - Layer – Group Layers.

 

 

Hide Layers:

To Hide The Layers As You Need For Editing Purpose.

Steps: Select the Layer -  Layer – Hide Layers.

 

 

Ungroup Layers:

To Ungroup The Grouped Layers.

Steps: Select the Layer -  Layer – Ungroup Layers.

 

 

 

 

Arrange:

To Arrange The Layers As In Front Of Backward Of Another Layer.

Lock Layers:

Link Layers:
